Its a great way to travel in Athens since it shortens by 50% the travelling time as compared to other types of transportation. There is a train every 3 minutes at peak hours and every 5 to 10 minutes at off peak hours.
Its a three-line system :
Line 1 ( from Piraeus to Kifissia running from 05:00' to 00:30' )
Line 2 ( from Sepolia to Dafni running from 05:30' to 24:00' )
Line 1 ( from Ethniki Amyna to Syntagma running from 05:30' to 24:00' )
The price of the ticket is 0.70 Euro. Each ticket is valid for 90 minutes from the time of its validation and for Line 2, 3 or ISAP Line 1 interchanges. It is not valid for return via the route already covered.
