The picturesque Parga, Preveza with the kastro and other beautiful locales are the most sought after tourist places of the nome/perfecture of Preveza. In addition to the afore-mentioned locales, the classic antiquities, the historic Zaloggo, the Venetian castles/kastra, the old monasteries and byzantine monuments and the lovely shores of the Ionian Sea enormously add to the attractive picture and completely satisfy the visitor.
Preveza, the capital of the nome (appr. 15000 pop), is a lovely town with an insular tone since the sea embraces it from three sides. It is a modern town although the interior has retained hints of the past in the picturesque narrow streets, old houses and ruined mosques.
