General Information for Evros

Evros Evros with the beautiful landscape and the famous forest Dadia borders with Turkey and on one part with Bulgaria. The delta at the exit point of the river, towards the Aegean Sea, is an area of acquatic development.

Alexandroupolis, the capital with 38,000 inhabitants is the only port in Thrace and it is the largest transport junction.

Samothraki
The isle of Samothraki is located in the northeastern Aegean, just across from Alexandroupolis. The island (3100 inhabitants has seven settlements. It is the highest Aegean Island and since it is mountainous its greatest part is verdant. The lush Samothraki is very interesting.
